Child Clinic on Wheels
Mobile Diagnostic & Early Intervention Developmental Clinic for Rural Children
Programme Highlights
About the Project
Early childhood represents a critical window for brain development. Early identification and intervention for children with developmental delays can dramatically improve cognitive, physical, and social outcomes, thereby altering their life trajectories for the better. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 50 million children in India have some form of disability, with rural and tribal regions like DNH experiencing acute shortages in quality early intervention services.
The establishment of a mobile Child Clinic on Wheels seeks to address these gaps by providing community-based early diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, parental training, and awareness programs. Bringing services closer to homes ensures better accessibility for rural Adivasi families, fostering long-term, community-rooted improvements in early childhood development and disability support for this vulnerable population.
Critical Barriers Faced by Remote Tribal Families
- Limited diagnostic facilities for developmental delays.
- Scarcity of trained therapists in occupational, speech, and behavioural therapy.
- Social stigma and misinformation surrounding disabilities.
- Financial constraints restricting access to private therapies.
🤝 Invite for CSR Collaboration
We invite corporate CSR partners and grant-making foundations to co-fund similar mobile infrastructure, educational scholarships, and rural developmental services.
