ACT to make a difference!

Dear generous friend of India,

Since 2013 Animedh Charitable Trust (ACT) has been impacting positively the lives of thousands of women and children in underprivileged neighbourhoods of Mumbai and now even in the rest of Maharashtra, India. It recently bagged a huge coup by obtaining the FCRA which allows foreign currency donations to ACT. Normally this can only happen after many years of running an NGO.

We are further humbled by being able to announce it's first #GivingTuesdayIndia drive to coincide with Mahatma Gandhi's 149th birthday on Tuesday, October 2. Bapu or Father of the nation as he was popularly called, believed that the future of India lies in its villages. His heartfelt concern was for the 100 million Adivasi (tribal) villagers, who are even today, among the most downtrodden communities in the world. We carry forward the spirit of Bapu's message of self-reliance through Project Samruddhi - Livelihood skills enhancement among 100 Tribal women across 15 Adivasi villages of Dadra Nagar Haveli.

What is #GivingTuesdayIndia and how can you help? #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, celebrated in more than 98 countries, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. In India #GivingTuesdayIndia is celebrated every year on the Tuesday of #DaanUtsav - India's very own week-long festival of giving (2 - 8 Oct).

On Mahatma Gandhi's 149th birthday, we urge you to connect back to YOUR INDIA! Even though you are miles & miles away, open your hearts and help us revive Bapu's dream and help us transform the lives of these amazingly resilient women and their families!

Please donate now.
Please also help by being an ACT fundraising advocate by sharing this link on your social media platforms and your network of friends and colleagues.
